Although Windows updates can bring good things, sometimes they can be annoying and can even prevent you from using your device if they fail to install. In the case of Microsoft earlier version OS such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1, we can able to enable or disable Windows auto-update setting. Also when we start to install the Operating System, they ask for choose & setup windows update option, i.e., auto or manual but this Latest Microsoft Operating System, Windows 10 don’t have such any option.
In Windows 10 build 9926 (January edition), Microsoft removed the ability to turn ON or OFF Automatic Updates. In this edition, Microsoft decided to deliver auto update and installs them without notifying the user. These way Win 10 will always be up-to-date with latest features and fixes. The forced Automatic Updates in Win 10 has causes many problems, such as

Stopping Windows 10 from Updating Automatically
There are many ways to disable auto-updates in Windows 10 which requires some technical skills and understanding of some core concepts of Windows.

Disable both Automatic & Manual Updates
Step 1: Open Run by pressing Windows + R. Alternatively, you can also right-click Start button and choose Run.
Step 2: Enter the keyword services.msc and then hit Enter.
Step 3: In the Services window, locate service with the name Windows Update.
Step 4: Right click on Windows Update and choose Properties.
Step 5: Firstly stop the service by clicking the Stop button. Then change Startup type from Manual to Disabled.
Final Step: Now just click on Apply and then Ok. Done!
